Ernie Sears is a nature photographer who lives in Northern Virginia. He is most interested in exploring and photographing the parks, refuges, and preserves found in coastal areas of the Middle Atlantic and Southern states. In creating his images of wildlife and landscapes, he uses both conventional and long exposure camera techniques.

 

Ernie is the founder and editor of AmericanWildBird.com, and founder of Protected Places Media. He has been published in regional and national magazines and calendars and has received several awards for his work. Currently, Ernie shoots with Nikon D800 and D4s bodies and Nikkor lenses. He uses Adobe Photoshop to process his images.
